About Rainbow Collective:​

Rainbow Collective is a British documentary film production company based in London England, which specialises in creating documentaries that highlight and deal with human and children's rights issues. 

​

Since 2006 Hannan Majid and Richard York have produced, shot and directed documentaries in South Africa, Bangladesh, Iraq and the UK and have won awards in Dubai, France, USA and the Czech Republic. 

 

Rainbow Collective, is a unique production company, formed as a social enterprise and committed to raising awareness on issues of human and childrens' rights through powerful cinematic documentaries and have collaborated with Amnesty International, The Consortium For Street Children, War On Want, TRAID, Labour Behind The Label, International Labor Rights Forum and many others.

Workshop Overview:

​

In this workshop you’ll learn the basics of interviewing, shooting and editing and how you can do all of this from your mobile phone. After the workshop you’ll have 1 month to shoot a documentary on a subject before the finished film is screened and a winner is selected at Walthamstow Smartphone Festival.
